The Seattle Boat Show — yes, it’s the one with the “Big Seattle Boat Show” jingle that stays in your head and drives you crazy — turns 70 years old this month.
“It would have been 71 years old but had to take a year’s hiatus in 1951 during the Korean War,” said George Harris, president and CEO of the 71-year-old Northwest Marine Trade Association, the organization that originated, owns and produces the event. The Seattle Boat Show is the largest on the West Coast and third largest in the country behind shows in Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
